GO GREEN With All-Electric New 2011 Cricket SW3: The Next Generation in Portable Personal Transportation

The totally-new CRICKET SW3 Electric Sport Vehicle ---with its standard adjustable sport steering wheel, accelerator pedal, and rear shocks---was designed in direct response to consumers who were asking for a more traditional alternative to the original CRICKET ESV’s tiller steering and handlebar throttle and brake controls.

The all-new CRICKET SW3 is the perfect option for folks who love the original CRICKET ESV’s portability, reliability, and convenience----but prefer the familiarity of a standard steering wheel and a traditional accelerator pedal, plus the comfort and ride stability of standard rear shocks. “Parents and grandparents especially like our new CRICKET SW3,” reports company vice president Carol Rushton . “And the standard flip-down rear seat, which seats two kids very comfortably---easily folds down into a roomy rear carrier rack.”

All-Electric, Totally Portable CRICKET SW3 is Perfect for RV Owners

“RV enthusiasts absolutely love both new-generation CRICKETS,” smiles CEO and founder Rick Huff. “The more-powerful, more-rugged new-generation CRICKET is lightweight (just 303 lbs.), only five feet long, 32 inches wide, and folds down to only 28 inches high---so it fits easily into just about every motor home, RV, travel trailer, 5th-wheel, SUV, and pickup ever made.” The CRICKET evens stows easily inside a small, 7-foot-wide horse trailer.

And, with its all-electric power that delivers 30 miles per charge, CRICKET owners can save some serious money by parking their RV when they arrive at their destination and never have to move it again until you leave. “We get a lot of laughs because we advertise that the CRICKET gets 68.5 zillion miles per gallon ,” chuckles Rick Huff.

About the Company (www.CricketSW3.com)

Back in 2005, after several years of manufacturing and distributing the rugged OUTBACK line of all-terrain hunting vehicles, the product development team at Rick’s Specialty Vehicles introduced a truly exciting new advance in electric sport vehicles—the CRICKET ESV, which was the world’s first ultra-portable electric sport vehicle. According to company founder and president Rick Huff, “We believe that the Cricket ESV was perfectly designed to answer the ever-growing need for what we call ‘destination mobility.’ Basically, it’s great for people who need convenient, dependable, economical transportation when they’re at a temporary destination.” Mr. Huff adds, “So we made the Cricket ESV super-easy to carry along with them wherever they need to go—-on vacations, weekend camping trips, horse shows, trade shows, auto racing venues, all special events, et .”

And now, after a long series of technological advances and constant, never-ending improvements, the company is confident that the new generation of CRICKET SW3 Electric Sport Vehicles will continue to revolutionize portable personal transportation.

Rick Huff, an avid outdoorsman, is still actively involved in designing and developing all of his company’s products. “Many of our Cricket owners like to camp out and attend weekend events---horse shows, auto races, bluegrass festivals, et cetera---so I came up with a way to add 50 hours of run time to their portable, gas-powered generators,” explains Rick. “That’s how the RSP Fuel Systems product line came to be.” Mr. Huff adds: "You can bet your boots that there will be even more innovations, improvements, and enhancements—and more new products—in the pipeline for years to come."

Cricket Owners Come from All Over America

Over the years, Rick Huff and his team have sold Cricket Electric Sport Vehicles to hundreds of satisfied owners in pretty much every state in the “Lower 48”. And Cricket owners have a variety of different needs and uses for their vehicles. “RV enthusiasts, motor home owners, campers, bluegrass festival fans, folks in retirement communities and waterfront developments, auto racing fans, horse show or racing attendees----the Cricket is easily adaptable to almost any need or environment,” reports Rick Huff. “And we’re expanding our marketing efforts to include large hotel and resort complexes, senior living centers, municipalities, and more work-oriented, commercial uses.”

Huff indicates that his super-affordable pricing structure (currently only ,197 for the basic Cricket SW3) has made his vehicles even more attractive during the current period of economic uncertainty.

ACCESSORIES

The new CRICKET SW3 comes standard with a lot of great “stuff”, but owners may want to customize their vehicle with something from their comprehensive selection of accessories on the company website. And, if for some reason you don’t find what you’re looking for, just give them a call (1-866-798-2227) or e-mail them (info@RicksESV.com) to let them know exactly what you want.

Frequently Asked Questions

  1. QUESTION:
how can i convince my parents to let me go hunting alone?
they will only let me go with my 60 (maybe older?) year old neighbor, but he can't hunt all the time and he has to drive a electric vehicle into the woods cause he can't walk good. and i do have a friend (same age as me) who could go with me, but they won't let me go with him. and i'd be using a shotgun if you want to know. oh, me and my friend are 15.

    • ANSWER:
Don't go hunting alone! It's like driving without a seatbelt. Dangerous and unnecessary. Go with someone else--ANYone else who is an adult.

  2. QUESTION:
What is the fastest vehicle commercially available today?
This is for a search engine "treasure hunt" sort of thing. This is the last one on my list, and I can't for the life of me find it. The only thing that pops up is the fastest electric car, the fastest speed anyone's ever gone, etc. If you could provide me with the search terms you used and the website source, it would be appreciated. Thanks for any help.
    Thank you!

    • ANSWER:
I guessed the Bugatti Veyron W-16 (two v-8 engines side by side). But I looked it up and I was wrong! It is now the SSC Aero made by Shelby Super Cars.

  3. QUESTION:
In the Philippines, are you in favor of manufacturing electric self-owned vehicles?
Local children are against an industrial nation for the Philippines because it will ruin the eco system and hurt our tourism industry, even though they need and want labor jobs an industrial nation would provide.

E-jeepneys or electric jeepneys are manufactured now in the Philippines.

The “Equad” can be used as an electric self-owned family transportation and EJEEPNEY has electric motorcycles.

When the BIG THREE – General Motors, Ford, and Chrysler could not stay profitable; it was the tourism industry that kept the State of Michigan’s economy going. The Tigers haven’t won a World Series in years and neither has the Pistons won an NBA championship recently. I doubt it was the Lions that attracted more tourism revenue. Outdoor sports like fishing and hunting probably.

I understand our children’s concerns about an industrial nation, but we do need affordable forms of transportation.

Tourism might be more Long Term and stable, a turtle economy.

But electric self-owned vehicles, we have the technology and the expertise to manufacture.

    • ANSWER:
Non polluting technologies should not be obstructed in the name of echo-tourism. Tourists always ask for comforts more and also will like to have loneliness and non sharing of vehicle with others if within affordable price.

Local issues sometimes harm local people due to their false ego.

This should be avoided and in my opinion - a rigorous publicity with strategic forms along with low margins at the start can make this profitable.

  4. QUESTION:

  5. QUESTION:
A picture of an A.I. Controlled, 3-wheeled vehicle of 2050 designed for Search and Destroy?
Part of a story that I'm writing includes a chase scene between a souped up sports car and an experimental unmanned vehicle that is driven by an A.I. (Artificial Intelligence). I need help finding a picture/drawing/model of a vehicle like this.

The A.I. is programmed to hunt down this sports cars with a variety of futuristic weapons (EMP, Laser, Ballistics Glue, and a Tow Cable, just to name a few.)

I would like to see a picture/drawing/model of such a vehicle. The closest that I came up with this by myself is Mazda's KAAN. (Found here @ http://www.tuvie.com/mazda-kaan-futuristic-electric-car-concept-to-compete-the-e1-races )

There are a few criteria that need to be filled in. 3-wheeled, with two steering in front and a larger one driving in back. Preferably black, and preferably powered by an electric motor built into the wheel similar to the one found on the KAAN (link above). Remember, it's unmanned, so if it doesn't have a windshield or an obvious door, that's even better!

Thanks in advance for helping me in my search. =D
If you could do that, that would be amazing. There's a few more details that I'd like to add to that...

    1. Powered by miniaturized fusion reactor, thinking something sized along the lines of a suit-case.
    2. No windshields/windows/doors, seeing as it's controlled by an A.I., it won't need any accommodations for humans. All it would need is a camera, thermal spectral imaging most likely.
    3. A very low body that doesn't go much higher than the wheels themselves, like F1 cars of today.

Awesome sketch! Just two things to point out.
    1. The rear wheel seems really skinny. Considering its the driving wheel, i was expecting it to be much wider.
    2. The body is still pretty high off the ground. A high center of gravity would be an even greater concern for a car that only has 3 points to support itself on instead of the usual 4.
    (3. If the axles of the wheels could be a magnetic core, so that the car is literally floating on air while the wheels give the magnets something to levitate off of. Not necessary, but its a neat idea.)

Thx again, the body looks great, the (braking?) mechanism on the rear wheel looks nice.

    • ANSWER:
Ok ill begin sketching now thanks for the extra info

      http://scifieart10000.deviantart.com/gallery/#/d3fmobh

      Heres a quick sketch

Ok i used hubless wheels for all three wheels which work in the same way as a maglev train.
Exept the track in the form of a thin tire moves while the train is what is attached to the car. So it would be in a way magnetic cored, as the train and track dont touch

  6. QUESTION:
Trying to find an older animated show about aliens?
I remember it was about a team that hunted aliens that landed on earth. They had vehicles and blue and black (?) suits. An episode i vaguely remember had an alien that could move through electric wires. The episode ended very "Holy Grail"-esque with the alien moving in box.
The show aired either late 1980s or early 1990s. The whole show revolved around the capturing or killing of things trying to take over the earth. The word "extraterrestrial" rings a bell, and i think it had acronym of sorts. Thanks in advance

    • ANSWER:
Hmm.....was it a kids show? or a cartoon?
