Do Hybrid Vehicle's Batteries get their charge from the alternator?

With a hybrid vehicle, I know that they are ran off of gasoline engine and also an electric motor. The electric motor receives its power from the hybrid battery. Is this charged from the regular alternator that is on all vehicles?

What is the best hybrid vehicle, in your opinion?

They also receive a charge from the braking system.

    i.o.l

  2. I’m not sure on all hybrid-electrics, but I believe the Toyotas use some system that captures energy from the brakes to charge the batteries.

No Hybrids charge the power packs by the electric motors. most have two electric motors when you let off the gas pedel one motor is like a generator and chargers the pack and the other one is still the drive motor.
