You'll find the Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.0 engine will last for ever. Our 1995 jeep had the 4.0 motor in it and we sold the car at 190,000miles. A friend of my father's has 285,000 miles clocked up on his Grand Cherokee 4.0.

The gas consumption is about 14-17 mpg in the city and about 24 mpg on the highway. We have had many Grand Cherokees in the past and we have three of them right now. You could say we we love these machines.

My own Jeep with the 4.7 v8 engine gets around 14-16 mpg city and I can get 20 mpg on the highway at 70mph.
